Change the Primary Domain for Google Apps Free account no longer to working
Google Apps also know as G Suite account has always been a point of interest among all webmasters and website owners, as it allows users to have custom branded email id like [email protected] for free of cost. Unfortunately, from December 6, 2012, mother Google has stopped providing this free service. Not yet, from December 18, 2018, Google has stopped supporting change the primary domain for G Suite Legacy account too. The most shocking thing is Google has released this patch so quietly that almost no one has noticed this change. Google just added new conditions to their “Downgrade to legacy Free edition” help article. We can’t return back to the legacy-free edition of G Suite if we changed or renamed the primary domain.
But as we all know in the tech world, this never stopped geeks to find a way around to add secondary domain within their Google Apps a.k.a G Suite legacy account with the help of a small loophole within the upgrading system. I know this sounds very tempting and somewhat unbelievable, but it is true.
So when you purchasing G Suite legacy-free account, we will set up your domain as secondary domain and you will be able to create users on it. You get Super Admin access, primary domain own and full control over the account. With one-time small fee and no recurring cost, you will be saving up to thousands of dollars per year.
What is a Secondary Domain in Google Apps / G Suite?
The secondary domain will allow you to create separate email ids with the separate domain name. So, if you have example.co.in and example.tk added as the secondary domain in your account, you will be able to create two separate email ids, i.e. [email protected] and [email protected]
So, how does it works and what is the procedure now?
1. You will order the plan you would like to purchase.
2. We will send you an email to verify the domain name (DNS TXT or CNAME record). This email will be sent to your PayPal email address also.
3. After you’re done with the changes requested, we will add your domain as secondary (additional) domain setup and send you the super admin credentials.
4. Now you will be able to create users on your domain name. But remember, you need to register or transfer the original/primary domain to keep your full control right. (You can register the original/primary domain with any Domain Registrar likes Godaddy, Namecheap, Name.com …)
Can I use my own domain as the primary domain?
No, you can’t. It will be added as the secondary domain.
You will be asked for a domain name you wish to use as secondary domain upon ordering. We will then set up that domain as the secondary domain of the account for you. We will also tell you the primary domain name and you will need to register or transfer this domain to keep your full control right. (You can register the original/primary domain with any Domain Registrar likes Godaddy, Namecheap, Name.com …)
